She had been waiting a long time when he dove in and stole the spot. She walked up to him to curse him out, he laughed at her, she shot him. New Yorkers are tough, eh?Lesliehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00769298443717603329noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-23925148.post-82746133611283621942011-10-16T06:55:02.877-04:002011-10-16T06:55:02.877-04:00Waiting and staking out territory does not work in...Waiting and staking out territory does not work in Park Slope at night. Not many people pulling out after midnight.

I once dropped the family off and got tired of driving in circles so I waited at the end of the block.

I feel asleep while double parked. Good thing I was in "P" and not just sitting there with my foot on the brake. Better thing was that my wife called my cell phone and woke me up.chickenunderwearhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13043134998899686830noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-23925148.post-89682045383281075012011-10-15T08:35:54.677-04:002011-10-15T08:35:54.677-04:00Not a happy ending to your post today ;-)Not a happy ending to your post today ;-)Thérèsehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14354559064351144704noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-23925148.post-15649871922720667952011-10-15T02:06:31.443-04:002011-10-15T02:06:31.443-04:00Once, on your block, a long time ago, I waited for...Once, on your block, a long time ago, I waited for someone as he was leaving a parking spot. No one else was waiting. When he left, I pulled up to begin backing into the spot. Someone driving up just DOVE into the spot, front first. He couldn't park that way, but would not leave. I finally had to just give up and pull away.
That was a very long time ago. I didn't have my handicapped permit in those days.Mary P.noreply@blogger.com
