Newlyweds
While in Central Park, I experienced a unique occurrence. I was watching a musician (thatguitarman.com) who plays weekly at the same spot (photo left). In the middle of the performance, a bride and groom strolled by (Central Park is an extremely popular venue for wedding photography.) The musician confirmed their just married status and asked if they would be willing to have their first dance right there while he played - the couple agreed and the audience was quite enthusiastic including a group of boaters nearby in the Lake (with Manhattan buildings as backdrop - Citicorp Building, Plaza Hotel etc.). I took a short video - click here to see that special first dance of the newlyweds.....

i think that central park is like a small city in NY that offers you great moments and nice emotions!
Your collage (and video) are wonderful! A brief respite from a world torn with violence. Such gently emotions and appreciation for a spontaneous, romantic moment. Glad you caught all of it. Thank you!!
It is like a small city, which is why I have so many posts in Central Park - there are a myriad of very different environments. It's 1000 acres, so there is plenty to explore and always surprises.

The Lake in Central Park was always one of our favorite spots to hang out... (me & the future spouse that is). I remember one day, it was covered in fog and there was an abandoned rowboat on the shore, which we of course got in and rowed out to the middle of the lake in the fog.
It's a good thing they made Central Park as big as it is so that New Yorkers can escape to the other world of Nature. I think it brings out the best in everyone...
I adore this collage. You've captured a wonderful moment in Central Park! Manhatten really does have it all. Can't wait to go back for a visit. Thanks for the great photos.
That's wonderful!
Especially, I love the people in the boats with the nice backgroound.
Congratulations to the couple!
