What & Where?
Today I thought I would try something different - can you guess the subject and location in Manhattan of this image? This photo is unaltered in any way - straight from the camera, no Photoshop. I imagine some of you NYC aficionados will correctly identify this, so I suggest you make a guess before reading the comments. Let's see how this goes first time around. I will respond to comments later tonight and/or tomorrow morning. I have no prizes to offer - maybe down the road I can come up with something ...

Well, I don't have a clue. But I'm loving the gold in these last two posts. Incredible architecture, light, colors. Thanks for sharing.
What is the Guggenheim? Just a wild guess. I'm in a Jeopardy mood. See you soon!
I have no idea what this is, but I'll check back later to find out! I'm an Aussie visiting NYC for the first time in a few weeks, so I love visiting your site. Thanks Brian!
Gut feeling: top of the interior of the Chrysler building?
I also have no idea what building this is in....but I like it!
Um....the Masonic Lodge???
Um....the Masonic Lodge???
I'm waiting to find out too. This looks to be a place to go up, up, up or else around and around and around. Is this ceiling a dome?
I'll answer tomorrow morning before I put up the new post.
Brian
Must be a trump building no? Seems like his style.
Louis
Although I can see why the gold color might lead one to believe that it could be a Trump property - this building is the real deal, not veneered or appearance over substance.
Brian
Is it the Papaya King at 8th Street and 6th Avenue, basement stairs?
First thought was "Central Station", but then it's not tri-angular ... hmmmm, perhaps you got the shot inside "The Flat Iron Building"???
I'm only sure that it's not "The Guggenheim" - I've been there a few weeks ago.
Greetings from Munich/Germany

It's a stairwell in the Chrysler Building. As part of OHNY weekend, the Chrysler lobby was available for viewing.
I will do a post on the building itself at a later time.
Brian
i feel like the crystler buiding
looking up a staircase in some important building i.e. a church or government building.or perhaps something more touristy.
I guess it's the interior of the Chrysler building, isn't it? I'll check it in one month, when I visit this great city.
