Stories of the ordinary, the extraordinary, the classic,
the unexpected and the hidden gems by a long time resident who shares his love of New York City.
I can't believe I'm saying this - I'm the MOST liberal person in the world - but I just don't like Easter turning into a freak show. I am a Christian but only because I believe there is some God and I'm comfortable, because of my culture, calling him a Christian God. There are only two holidays I celebrate, not Valentines, Halloween, New Year's Eve, but Christmas and Easter are my holidays and I don't like it usurped. Why not a Spring Equinox celebration?
kpf - It has become a freak show and I am sure rather distasteful to those who celebrate the day for what it means for Christians. See my other Easter postings, particularly frEAkSTER.
